We will see some smoke in the valleys, but most of the Western Slope will see mostly clear skies overnight. Morning lows will be close to our averages in the 60s for the valleys and 50s over the higher elevations. The lower valleys and northern parts of the region will be hot and dry over the weekend, but pop up afternoon thunderstorms will form over the Divide and and San Juans. Southerly winds will push more moisture into the Western Slope causing our rain chances to steadily increase. An upper level trough will take advantage of this increased moisture bringing heavy rain showers and thunderstorms for the middle of next week. The heaviest rain is expected to fall on Wednesday.
