Smoky skies will stick around for the start of the day on the Western Slope. Morning lows will remain near our averages in the 60s for the valleys. Widespread rain showers will move today. Most of the showers will start as virga with the rain getting reabsorbed before it hits the ground. Heavier rain will start during the afternoon with the heaviest rain expected to fall during the evening and overnight hours. Rain totals will be less than what we saw two weeks ago, but we should still anticipate road closures in Glenwood Canyon. Rain chances will start to die down on Friday with things fully clearing up over the weekend. Highs will drop all the way down into the 70s for the valleys on Thursday before they rebound back up to the lower 90s and upper 80s by the start of next week.
