Yesterday’s showers have cleared up overnight and we will see a clear day over most of the Western Slope. Morning lows will be cooler than yesterday thanks to the clear skies, and afternoon highs will begin to rebound back up. Sunny skies will persist through the day in the valleys. Closer to Gunnison we will see partly cloudy skies with a 10% chance for scattered thunderstorms. What storms form will be lighter than what we saw yesterday. Mostly sunny conditions will persist through the weekend with highs expected to climb up to the lower 90s by Sunday. More rain will come by the middle of next week with the heaviest showers falling on Wednesday and Thursday. Next weeks rain will knock our highs from 5-10 degrees warmer than normal to a few degrees below average.
