We are seeing another clear and dry start to the day on the Western Slope, but rain chances and scattered thunderstorms will return this afternoon. Southwesterly monsoon winds will return today causing chances for mountain thunderstorms bounce back this afternoon. The Grand Valley will still be mostly dry today, but there will still be around a 20-30% chance for a stray shower in Montrose around 4pm. With the drier conditions for the start of the day high temperatures will climb up to the 90s for most of the region, and Moab will reach the triple digits. We will see scattered storms clear up overnight, but Rain chances will be returning late tomorrow morning. Friday will bring in the heaviest rain of the week. With the higher rain chances moving in temperatures will drop to slightly below average levels in the lower 90s and upper 80s in the Grand Valley this weekend.
