TELLURIDE, Colo. (KREX) — Firefighters are aware of a single-tree fire burning in Telluride, Colorado this morning.
The Mill Creek fire started approximately 2 miles north of Telluride at around 12,000 feet in elevation. The fire is currently burning one tree with low spread potential.
The fire is 0 percent contained and due to the terrain, one fire engine will monitor its activity.
GMUG Fire is advising not to call 911 as smoke will be visible in Telluride and the surrounding area.
