Snow snow snow and more snow is the big story over the Western Slope. We had a cloudy snowy start to our day, and snow showers persisted all the way through the afternoon hours. During the Late afternoon hours we saw the snow showers transition into mixed precipitation for the lower valleys. Strong southwesterly flow ahead of both a warm and a cold front is what is causing these snow showers to occur. This southwesterly flow will also keep our highs close to our averages despite the snow skies. Tomorrow mornings lows will be similar to today’s thanks to cloudy skies. The snow showers will continue into tomorrow afternoon. Skies will finally clear up overnight on Tuesday causing us to see very chilly morning lows for Wednesday morning. We will see another front pass through on Thursday, but this front will be very weak in comparison and we will only see some light mountain snow as it passes. Skies will clear up for the weekend before another front passes through for the start of next week.
