More scattered snow showers will move into the Western Slope. These scattered showers will mostly stay on the light to moderate side, but we will see stronger storms start to move in for the end of the afternoon. High temperatures will be a little warmer than yesterday, thanks to southerly winds driving these showers. The scattered snow showers will strengthen for tomorrow as an upper level ridge begins to pass through the Western Slope. High winds are also expected, and with the snow showers whiteout conditions are possible in the high country for both today and tomorrow. Road conditions will continue to be poor for today and New Year’s Eve. This winter weather system will clear up by Saturday afternoon, and we will see clear skies continue into the first few days of 2022.
