We will see much cooler temperatures this week than last week. Afternoon highs for today will still be around 5 degrees above normal in the upper 40s for the most part. Scattered showers will move into the Western Slope late this afternoon. The Grand Valley will start off low chances for rain showers for the afternoon. These rain showers will transition into mixed precipitation overnight. The higher elevations will see slightly higher chances for afternoon showers. For the evening and overnight hours the higher elevations will see snow. Snow totals look to be around 6 inches at most over the Grand Mesa and central parts of the Divide. Grand Valley could wake up to a dusting of snow tomorrow morning, but with overnight lows in the valley being right around freezing this is not a guarantee. All the showers will clear up by Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday is looking clear, and another round of winter weather will move in for the end of the week.
