Another Pacific NW storm system is knocking on Colorado’s door early Saturday morning. A cold front will be spreading across the region later Saturday while the snow starts to fall earlier in the mountains. Expect winter weather if you are travelling up and over the passes through Sunday morning. Temperatures will be mild ahead of the frontal passage and that could support rain showers Saturday afternoon. Once the front arrives, the wind speeds are expected to gust up to 25-30 mph in the lower elevations. A chance of any rain to transition to a rain/snow mix could develop Saturday night into Sunday morning for Montrose and Grand Junction. This weekend storm system exits quickly, lingering mountain snow showers notwithstanding on Sunday… the weekend looks to end on a dry and cooler note with a clearer sky.
