With cloudier skies moving in during the overnight hours, morning lows will warm up back to our summer averages for the Western Slope. Mostly we will be in the 50s, but expect to be a little cooler over the higher elevations. Afternoon highs will stick to the 80s and lower 90s for the Grand Valley all week long. Starting tomorrow afternoon we will see pop up afternoon thunderstorms develop over the higher elevations. For tomorrow they will mostly keep to the high country. A strong shortwave of moisture will push through early Thursday morning bringing in chances for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms just before sunrise. These morning showers will clear up around 9 am. Pop up storms will return during the afternoon hours all week long. Once again storms will heavily favor higher terrain, but we will still have around a 50% chance for rain in the valleys for Thursday and Friday afternoon. Chances for afternoon thunderstorms all across the Western Slope will continue through the weekend into next week.
