A return to fall-like conditions for the weekend, but it all begins with another Freeze Warning.
The Grand Valley will have one more night under a Freeze Warning. This will expire Saturday October 16, 2021 10 am. Temperatures will be subfreezing and if you have not winterized the water lines/pipes… now is the time to do that. The weather for Saturday and Sunday will be clearer and drier. Temperatures both days will slowly warm back to the seasonal averages (GJ high 67F, Montrose high 66F). All eyes are on the middle of next week when another system will swing through the Western U.S. As of now, this storm is trending north and the only impacts are an increase in wind and clouds along with lowering temperatures. The northern mountain will pick up new snow, but the lower elevations of the Western Slope look dry for now.
