Cool and soggy conditions for area athletes Friday night. Bring your rain gear, sweater and hot chocolate!
Rain showers and cooler temperatures will also continue for Saturday morning. Wind speeds will keep it feeling fall-like with a westerly wind 15-25 mph. Sunshine should pop up during the afternoon hours, but that could also initiate isolated afternoon storms. Drying is expected late Saturday night with clearing, but no warming expected. Fresh snow is possible on the Grand Mesa and specifically for any location higher in elevation. Sunday will be the day to get outside and decorate/clean/prep your irrigation and cooling lines for the colder weather. I say that because colder temperatures are due for the middle of next week and that also includes rain and snow! Stay tuned for a more detailed forecast for next Tuesday and Wednesday.
