We are seeing a little more cloud cover this morning. Even with the cloudier skies morning lows are still cold with both Glenwood Springs and Gunnison seeing subzero temperature this morning. Cloud cover will start to clear up after sunrise this morning, and we will see sunny skies once again this afternoon in the valleys. That cloud cover will linger around the higher elevations slightly longer. Dry weather will continue to persist in the Western Slope thanks to high pressure and an upper level ridge over the region. These features will cause our highs to steadily warm up as we move through the week. At the end of the week a cut off low will develop over the Baja Peninsula. Depending on how far northward this low drifts will determine if we see a snow system move in at the end of the week. As of now we look to stay dry. The best place to see snow would be in the San Juans form this potential system.
