Tonight will be a cloudier night over the Western Slope. Despite a cold front passing through during the afternoon hours, our morning lows will be warmer than yesterday. Thanks to the cloudy skies we will wake up to about average temperatures. This front will bring a 30% chance for scattered snow showers near Aspen, Carbondale and Glenwood springs. Afternoon highs will be a tad bit cooler thanks to the passing cold front. This front will only slow down our warming trend as high pressure and an upper level ridge will return to the region. Widespread highs in the lower 40s will return for Friday and we will see even warmer temperatures for this weekend. This upper level ridge will finally start to leave the Western Slope by Sunday and because of this we will see some light snow chances and cooler temperatures to start next week.
