We will see a cold day on the Western Slope. We will see snow showers over towards the central parts of the Divide, and in the Elk and Park ranges. The Grand Valley will be mostly dry, but we will see a 10% chance for a stray shower to sneak in at 5pm this evening. Winds will be slightly stronger than normal in the Grand Valley. It will be a different story in the high country with potential wind gusts over the mountains reaching 40mph this afternoon. These high winds coupled with heavy snow for the end of the day will contribute to near white out conditions for parts of the day for roads in the high country. Valley road conditions will be much better, but there will still be icy patches on the roads to look out for. Highs will be right around the freezing point for most of the Western Slope. Overall temperatures will continue to increase as we move through the week. By Friday highs look to reach the 40s for the valley. Another cold front looks to move in late on Saturday, but temperatures after the front look to be warmer than where they are right now.
