We will see warmer morning lows thanks to smoke settling in the valleys coupled with cloudier skies. Chances for afternoon scattered thunderstorms will help clear out some of the smoke as we head into the afternoon hours. The more northern parts of the Western Slope will mostly just see gusty winds and dry lightning, but further south and near the Divide we will see chances for showers with these storms. These storms will cool our high back down to our seasonal normals in the mid 90s for the valleys and 80s at the higher elevations. The best chance for rain will be on Wednesday. As we move into the end of the work week high pressure will begin to build back up over the region causing showers to dry up again. By Saturday our rain chances will completely clear up in the valleys and high temperatures will return to the triple digits.
