July 1st Early Morning Forecast

We will see scattered showers clear up as we head through the overnight hours once again. Morning lows stay in the 60s for the valleys. As we head into the afternoon we will see another round of scattered thunderstorms. These storms will once again heavily favor higher elevations along the central parts of the Divide and the San Juan mountains. Highs will begin to warm up. Gran Junction is expected to reach the 90s once again. Rain totals will be less than what we saw for the last two days, but we could still see a tenth of an inch land near Aspen and in the San Juans. We will see dry westerly winds push in for the weekend. This will cause our rain chances to dip and skies to clear up for the holiday weekend. High temperatures are expect to continue to climb and Grand Junction will warm up to the upper 90s by the 4th of July.
