Scattered thunderstorms cleared up as we moved through the overnight hours. Morning lows will dip down closer to our averages. We will stay dry for the morning hours, but scattered thunderstorms will return around noon. Most of the thunderstorms will be towards the south near the San Juans and close to the Divide. These storms will bring in shorter bursts of heavier rainfall rather than a steady flow of light to moderate rain. Afternoon highs will stay close to our averages thanks to chances for showers. Rain chances will build up as we push through the work week with the heaviest rain expected over the weekend. High temperatures will continue to cool and we will see below average highs as we head into next week. This rain system will not end our drought, but we could see several days of good rainfall that will put us on the right track.
