July 24th Forecast

We saw most thunderstorms clear up by the overnight hours. Some light showers continued into the early morning near Gunnison. We will see a dry start to tomorrow with thunderstorms expected to return for the afternoon. Morning lows will stay near our average thanks to cloudy skies overnight, but highs will drop to below average levels. Isolated thunderstorms will continue to favor the Divide and the San Juans. Flash flood watches will be in effect by I 70 near the Divide and in the San Juans due to the threat of heavier rain showers passing over this and last year’s burn scars. Storms will clear up overnight with thunderstorms returning for the next afternoon. This pattern will continue into next week with slightly lower storm chances expected for Monday and Tuesday.
