We are seeing another clear, dry start to the day on the Western Slope. With the clear skies morning lows are cool and comfortable. Rain chances will move in this afternoon. Northern parts of the Western Slope and lower valleys will be mostly dry for today, but we will see heavy rain this afternoon in southwestern Colorado and southeastern Utah. Moist southwesterly monsoon winds will fill the region fuel chances for scattered showers during the late morning hours into the overnight hours. Heavy rain showers will drift further north for tomorrow leaving Grand Junction with a 50% chance for storms tomorrow. Once the heavy rain moves in expect high temperatures to drop around 5 degrees to close out the work week. The heaviest rain will fall on Thursday, and Friday. Saturday will also have high rain chances, but we will see drier air move in at the end of the day causing us to see low chances for rain on Sunday.
