July 30th Early Morning Forecast

Scattered thunderstorms will weaken overnight and we will see skies clear up early tomorrow morning. We will see dry weather for the start of the day tomorrow with heavy thunderstorms developing this afternoon and evening. Once again the strongest storms are looking to form during the early evening hours. Highs will cool down thanks to the heavy rainfall. Total rainfall from this patter from today into next Tuesday could leave the valleys with an inch of rain. That’s almost a half inch more than what Grand Junction typically receives in the entire month of July. Higher elevations are looking to receive close to 2 inches. Heavy rain showers will cause flooding over burn scars, and narrow canyons. If you plan on traveling to the front range over the weekend expect to have to take a detour. The heaviest rain showers will fall over the weekend and stay safe with all this rain.
