We are seeing cool and comfortable morning lows to start the day off on the Western Slope. I recommend getting as many outdoor chores done as possible during the morning hours as hot and dry weather is on the way. We will start to see 90s populate the lower valleys this afternoon, and temperatures will continue to climb over the next few days. The lower valleys will continue to stay dry for the day, but higher elevations near the Divide will still see a few pop up rain showers and thunderstorms for the afternoon hours. With dry westerly winds getting pushed into the region rain chances will dry up for Friday, and highs will break into the triple digits for Saturday. With a strong ridge building up over the Western Slope these hot temperatures will be sticking around for quite a while. Triple digit highs will continue through the weekend and into the middle of next week.
