July 7th Forecast

Despite the clear skies overnight morning lows will stay warmer than normal. The above average morning lows will still feel cool and comfortable. Chances for afternoon thunderstorms will mostly clear up over the higher elevations. Afternoon highs will soar up to the triple digits once again in Grand Junction and we will be even hotter on Thursday and Friday. Right now record highs will be just out of reach. The strong upper level ridge will continue to push hot temperatures into the weekend, but the lower valleys look to be dropping back into the 90s for Saturday, and Sunday. Hot triple digit temperatures are likely to return by the start of next week.
