June 10th Early Morning Forecast

We will see cloudier skies over the Western Slope. The cloud cover will cause our morning lows to be slightly warmer. Tomorrow is expected to be the windiest day of the week. We could see wind gusts up to 40 mph in the valleys. High temperatures will remain 5 – 10 degrees above our average, but they will be slightly cooler than today’s. Skies will start to clear up as we head through the afternoon hours, and we will see clear sunny skies all weekend long. A passing front from Thursday night into Friday will cause Friday to be the coolest day of the week. Highs will stay hot in the 90s for most of the valleys. The upper level ridge above us will strengthen at the start of the weekend causing our highs to soar to near record breaking levels. Grand Junction could see its first day in the triple digits on Sunday and hot triple digit temperatures will carry over into next week. Next big shot at rain the Western Slope is more than ten days out.
