Clear skies overnight are causing our morning lows to be cool and comfortable, but we won’t see these cooler conditions all day. High temperatures for the afternoon look to be record tying on the Western Slope. Grand Junction’s high will break into the triple digits, and we will see a high of around 104 in Moab. Gunnison will still be in the 80s for the afternoon, as one of the cooler spots. High pressure will continue to keep our skies sunny for the next few days. With the sunny skies make sure you are drinking plenty of water, and staying hydrated on such a hot day. High temperatures look to climb 1-2 degrees higher for tomorrow afternoon, and the hot and dry conditions will continue through the weekend. We will see a bit of a cool down for the start of next week, but the cooler temperatures will not last long.
