June 15th Forecast

We will see cool and comfortable morning lows on the Western Slope. Unfortunately the same can’t be said about our highs. We will are under Excessive Heat Warnings in the lower valleys and can expect to see record breaking temperatures all week with the hottest days being today and tomorrow. On the bright side winds will not be gusty enough to warrant Red Flag Warnings. Cloud cover will gradually build up as we move to the later parts of the week. With the cloudier skies we will see chances for afternoon showers and pop up thunderstorms over the high country, but these showers are not expect to bring in much measurable rainfall. The best two days for rain will be Saturday and Sunday. On both these days the valleys could even see a stray shower or two. Smoky conditions will stick around for the next few days in the Grand Valley and Moab due to the close proximity of the Pack Creek Fire. Drink plenty of water and take breaks in the shade during this hot week.
