We will see another cool morning tomorrow on the Western Slope. Morning lows will be slightly warmer thanks to light cloud cover building up during the overnight hours. The excessive heat warning will continue to persist in the valleys. We will continue to see highs in the triple digits for the valleys, and the higher elevations will be in the 90s once again. Wednesday will be the hottest day of the week. The high country will see very slight chances for scattered showers and afternoon thunderstorms. These showers will be extremely light, but rain chances will be building up as we head through the end of the week. Best chance for rain will be on Saturday, and we may even see a few drizzles in the valleys. Highs will cool from record breaking to record tying for the weekend, and Grand Junction will finally drop out of the triple digits by Monday of next week.
