Morning lows will be on the warmer side of our averages, but they will feel much cooler than the afternoon highs. Try to get as many outdoor chores done early as highs will be in the triple digits in the valleys once again. High temperatures are expected to break records and are running 15 degrees above our averages. We will see partly cloudy skies move in for the afternoon hours. We will see some scattered showers and afternoon thunderstorms move in over the higher elevations. The San Juans will see most of these showers, and rain chances will continue to increase as we head into the weekend. Best shot at rain in the valleys will fall on Saturday, and all these showers are expected to be extremely light. The heat wave will continue into next week, but highs will cool from record breaking to record tying.
