June 18th Early Morning Forecast

We will see another round of warm morning lows on the Western Slope thanks to the cloudy overnight skies. Once again I recommend to get all of your outdoor chores done early as we will see another round of triple digit temperatures in the valleys. Highs expected to be 1-2 degrees cooler than today, but we are still expected to break another record high for Grand Junction. We will see scattered thunderstorms over the high country during the afternoon. These thunderstorms will mostly be dry, but we will see a few light showers fall from them. Expect to see gusty winds during the afternoon hours, with gustier winds expected for the weekend. High temperatures will start their long decent downwards as we will move from record breaking to record tying. High temperatures running 5-10 degrees above normal will continue for next week, but we can expect to mostly be in the upper 90s for the valleys.
