June 21st Drought Update

A dry end to spring turns into a dry start to summer on the Western Slope. Overall rain totals for the year are down by almost two full inches in Grand Junction and almost an inch and a half in Montrose. The drought will continue through the week with no signs of slowing down due to low humidity and lack of rainfall. Rain chances will build up by the end of the week, but we could only see a few hundredths of an inch hit the valley floors.
