The upper level ridge above the Western Slope will strengthen causing overall temperatures to increase. Morning lows will stay cool and comfortable, but they will be a few degrees above normal. Afternoon highs on the other hand will soar up to record breaking levels. We will see another round of triple digits in Grand Junction. Skies will stay clear throughout the day, but cloud cover will build up during the overnight hours tomorrow. Chances for scattered dry thunderstorms will return to the high country by Wednesday, and the lower valleys by Thursday. The best chance for rain will fall on Friday as things will start to dry up again for the weekend. Highs will cool with the rain chances with the lower valleys returning to the mid 90s by the end of the work week. Rain totals from this system look to be low so do not expect much measurable rainfall.
