We are seeing cooler temperatures and partly cloudy skies to start the day off on the Western Slope. We will see much drier conditions for the morning hours, but once we move into the afternoon scattered thunderstorms will move into the Western Slope. High temperatures look to be 5 degrees cooler than our averages thanks to the scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. The best chance to see storms in the valleys will be around 5pm. This afternoon’s showers will clear up overnight. The pattern of dry mornings and scattered storms for the afternoon will continue for the next few days. Saturday will be the driest day with winds shifting to more northwesterly flow. Moist southwesterly winds will return Sunday, and we will see several much needed rain chances over the next few days.
