We are seeing clear sunny skies to start the day off on the Western Slope. With the clearer skies morning lows are slightly cooler than yesterday. As we move into the afternoon hours we will still see chances for pop up rain showers over the mountain tops this afternoon, but lower valleys will stay dry for the most part. Most of these showers will be further south in the San Juans. High temperatures for the day will mostly be in the 80s, but some of the lower valleys will still break into the lower 90s. An upper level ridge will keep us dry for tomorrow and most of the day Wednesday. With the drier conditions moving through highs tomorrow will be 4-5 degrees hotter. An upper level trough will move through at the end of the day Wednesday moving into Thursday and Friday. This will cause rain chances to return for the end of the work week on the Western Slope. When the rain comes back temperatures will return to the upper 80s and lower 90s in the valleys.
