We will see a mostly dry day in the lower valleys on the Western Slope. Skies are mostly clear to start the day, and will stay clear for the morning hours. A little more cloud cover will move in this afternoon, and isolated showers will pop-up over the mountain tops this afternoon, but rain will stay out of the valley. Highs for the day will be about 5 degrees warmer than yesterday thanks to the drier conditions. Highs will be just above average, and not pass the mid 90s in the lower valleys. A strong wave of moisture will move through the Western Slope Wednesday night leading into Thursday. This will cause us to see widespread rain showers and thunderstorms once again. The heaviest showers look to hold off until the afternoon hours on Thursday. Chances for afternoon storms will slowly decrease for Friday and Saturday. Another wave of moisture will increase our rain chances once again to close out the weekend.
