We are seeing clear skies to start the day off in the valleys. With the clear skies there will be dry weather for the morning hours. As we look to the afternoon hours scattered showers and thunderstorms will once again dot the higher elevations. At the end of the day an upper level trough will force in more moisture and lift causing showers to continue overnight. The heaviest showers from this system will form late tomorrow morning. We will see rain chances all day Thursday with showers finally clearing up overnight into Friday. More scattered showers will form Friday afternoon, but they will be weaker than Thursday’s. High temperatures for today will be similar to yesterday, but highs will drop around 7 degrees for tomorrow thanks to the rain showers moving in. Dry conditions will make their return for the start of the weekend.
