May 18th Forecast

Scattered showers cleared up during the overnight hours. Morning lows are expected to be slightly cooler this morning despite the cloudier skies. Rain chances and isolated thunderstorms will return for the afternoon. Today’s showers are expected to be heavier than what we saw yesterday afternoon, and they will be favoring the San Juans. Once again rain totals for the valley floors will be on the lower side, but we will see a few tenths of an inch in the high country. High temperatures will be slightly cooler thanks to the rain showers. We will see drier weather for Wednesday and Thursday. There will be low chances for a pop up showers over the mountain tops, but the lower valleys will be dry. High temperatures are expected to climb up into the 80s once again. We will see an up-tick in rain chances on Friday, but most of those showers will stall out to our west. Drier weather and clearer skies will settle in for the weekend, and we can expect to see average highs in the upper 70s for the lower valleys.
