Expect a busy Friday afternoon/evening with the gusty wind speeds and the storm clouds moving off the higher elevations over the valleys. A chance of rain will remain in the forecast Friday night and again Saturday afternoon.
A clearer sky is the pattern to begin the weekend and slightly better afternoon temperatures, The sunshine/warmth will aid in another round of showers Saturday afternoon with the lingering moisture present in the atmosphere. Gusty outflow winds can be expected, otherwise a dry and breezy forecast Saturday is reasonable. Sunday the responsible weather maker will lift northeast, away from the Western Slope and a cooler afternoon is on tap with even more sunshine. Drier conditions are in the forecast for the end of this weekend and into next week. Grand Junction will be back in the mid to upper 80s by the middle of next week.
