May 28th Forecast

We saw another clear night over the Western Slope. These clear skies will cause our morning lows to be on the cooler side of our averages in the 40s and 50s for the valleys and 30s in the high country. Cloudier skies will move in during the afternoon hours, and our high temperatures will climb to 5 – 10 degrees above our averages. We will see 90s in the lower valleys today, and the start of Memorial Day weekend. We can expect to continue to stay mostly dry until Monday. A cut off low will develop to our west and bring in chances for showers over the San Juans and the Divide. Lower valleys will see much less rainfall compared to the high country. Grand Junction will only see a few hundredths of an inch. Aspen could see up to a half inch, and on the front range Denver could see up to an inch of rain for Memorial Day. Dry air will move back into the region by the middle of next week.
