There are some scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over mountain tops near the I-70 corridor this morning. Chances for these showers will be clearing up as we move through the morning hours. Morning lows are cool in the 40s for the lower valleys, and 30s over the high country. Once we get to the afternoon hours dry conditions will return to the lower valleys. High temperatures will be on the cooler side today. Lower valleys will be in the 60s, and we will be in the 50s for the higher elevations. Temperatures will be warming up as we move through the work week.
A shortwave will bring in more chances for scattered showers on Wednesday. Almost all of these showers will be lock towards the Divide, and JUCO should continue without any rain delays. Dry conditions will move in for the rest of the week in the lower valleys. High temperatures will return to above average levels in the lower 90s for the Grand Valley by this Thursday.
