We are seeing mostly clear skies to start the day on the Western Slope. We are seeing a few very light scattered rain and snow showers closer towards the Divide, but these showers will clear up shortly after sunrise today. Skies will be sunny to mostly sunny for most of the day. As we look to the afternoon hours we will see some hazy conditions develop on the Western Slope, but skies will clear up for this evening. Highs will tend to be on the cooler side for today with 70s expected in the lower valleys, and 60s in the high country. Hold on to your hats this morning as we will see breezier winds today. Sustained winds for the morning hours are in the upper teens and lower 20s. We can expect to see even stronger winds for this afternoon, and wind advisories have been issued over the high country for today. In addition to the wind advisories we are seeing red flag warnings in Montrose and Delta counties. The stronger winds look to stick around all week long. Highs will jump back into the 80s for the Grand Valley for Tuesday and Wednesday. The best chance to see scattered showers in the valleys will move in Wednesday night into Thursday morning. An upper level ridge will move through for the middle of the week knocking our highs from the mid 80s on Wednesday all the way down to the lower 70s on Thursday.
