Monday June 21, 2021 Forecast First

Red Flag Warning tomorrow/Tuesday for dry and breezy conditions.

Ridge of high pressure will strengthen over the Western Slope through the midweek. Peak heating will occur Tuesday afternoon with another run for the temperature records in Grand Junction. For the year, Grand Junction has experienced 6 total days at 100 degrees or hotter and Tuesday could be the seventh day. Wind speeds will also be on the increase from the W/SW and hitting the 25-35 mph zone qualifies most of the region for a Red Flag Warning. Wind speeds will ease a bit for the late week period, but storm chances could be increasing. That late week storm opportunity will create erratic/gusty wind speeds and lightning strikes.
