**RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 7:00 P.M. THURSDAY.**
TODAY: There’s a lot of weather happening today all because of a cold front approaching our area. Before the front arrives in the afternoon, our temperatures will be in the mid to lower 70s and our winds will start to pick up. Sustained wind speeds in the afternoon will be in the 10 to 15 mph range with gusts up to 25 mph.
TONIGHT: We will see a chance of showers tonight starting around 8:00 p.m. and then going through the overnight hours into Friday morning. The high country at 6500 ft in the northern mountains and 7500 ft in the central mountains will see chances of snow overnight. Our temperatures will drop down into the 40s for the valleys.
EXTENDED FORECAST: As the cold front moves through the state, we will still have chances of showers through Friday before noon. The front will also drop our high temperatures for Friday down into the upper 50s and 60s. Our conditions will be calm for the remainder of Friday and Saturday through the afternoon. Temperatures for Saturday will be in the 60s. A second cold front will then arrive in the area Saturday evening and will bring a chance of a mix of rain and snow overnight Saturday.
