TODAY: It is a cold a icy start to your week. Temperatures will be in the 20s to start the morning out with light snowfall for mountain and some valley communities. Most of that snow will move from the valley communities including Delta, Olathe and Montrose around 9-10 a.m. We get a small break from the snow in the afternoon and will have mostly sunny skies with highs in the 30s. The clouds will start to increase around 3 p.m. as another cold front approaches the area.
TONIGHT: Our next chance for snow happens around midnight for the high country and some communities in DeBeque Canyon. Temperatures will drop into the 20s overnight with mostly cloud skies.
EXTENDED FORECAST: As the cold front pushes through the state, snow will most likely start for the lower elevations around 8-9 a.m. The Western Slope will see chances of snow on and off through the rest of the day Tuesday and through the overnight hours into Wednesday morning. Temperatures for Tuesday will be in the 40s and the 20s for the Wednesday.
