TODAY: We see warmer temperatures in the mid to lower 70s for today with mostly sunny skies.
TONIGHT: Temperatures drop down into the upper to mid 40s for this evening with mostly clear skies.
EXTENDED FORECAST: Wednesday starts out much like Tuesday with chilly temperatures in the morning and warmer temperatures in the 70s in the afternoon. However, a cold front will sweep through the area Wednesday. Ahead of the front we will see our winds pick up. Our sustained wind speeds will be 20-25 mph for Wednesday with gusts up to 35 mph. We will start to see some flurries for Mesa County around 8:00 p.m. with very little to no accumulation. Most of the snow will hit in the high country overnight Wednesday into Thursday with 1-2 inches for most of the Northern and Central Rockies and 4 inches near the Continental Divide. By Wednesday evening our temperatures will be in the mid to lower 30s. On Thursday we will see high temperatures in the 40s.
