We will see a rainy day over the Western Slope. Thanks to the passing cold front we will see snow and mixed precipitation showers over the higher elevations throughout the day. For the morning we will only see snow above 8000 feet, but we will see that height drop to close to 6000 feet by the end of the day. Below 6000 feet expect to just see rain. High temperatures will be down in the 40s and 50s, and will stay there for the remainder of the week. We will see drier weather for Wednesday, but another rain system will move in on Thursday. Thursday’s rain will be lighter than today’s and similarly we will see mixed precipitation and snow over 6000 feet. Snow totals will be on the lighter side mostly staying between 3 and 6 inches. an upper level ridge will move over the Western Slope as we head into the weekend which will finally warm our highs back to our averages in the 60s for the Grand Valley for the end of the weekend.
