Scattered showers will return to the Western Slope today. Below 6000 feet we will mostly see rain showers, but we could see a few light snow showers closer to Montrose right around sunrise. The heaviest rain and snow showers will be falling for the afternoon. High temperatures for today will be the coldest we have seen all week. Aspen is not even expected to be in the 40s for today. As we move into tomorrow we will see an upper level ridge move into the Western Slope. This will cause our skies to clear up, but temperatures will still stay on the colder side for Friday. Morning lows will stay cold thanks to the clear skies, but afternoon highs will warm up to the 60s for the Grand Valley for the end of the weekend. Dry warmer weather will continue into next week.
