It will be a frigid night over the Western Slope. Mostly clear skies will not trap much heat in during the nighttime hours. Overnight lows will be record breaking to say the least. We will see subzero temperatures in Carbondale and Gunnison and single digit temperatures almost everywhere in the region. Tomorrow afternoon will be a little warmer than today’s. Afternoon highs will be in the 30s and sunny skies will make us feel a little warmer. Just like today, afternoon highs will be a few degrees off our average lows for this time of year. Wednesday the same system that brought all the snow and cold will drift northeastward. This will bring scattered snow chances to our south. By Thursday high pressure will full establish itself in the region and we will warm up to the 50s by the end of the week. Enjoy the snow while it lasts as we will be in the 60s for the weekend.
