Today will be another warm day over the Western Slope. High temperatures will once again soar above average with 80s for the valleys and 70s for the higher elevations. We are forecasted to tie the current record high in Grand Junction set back in 1996. We will start to see more clouds today as moisture will be building up as the cold front approaches. Winds will be breezier today than yesterday and they will continue to increase until the front reaches the Western Slope. Our morning lows will stay at 5 degrees warmer than average until the front passes. The front will bring 20% – 30% chances for some rain this Sunday. Once this front passes us by we will enjoy some below average temperatures for the first time this month.
