The region still had mild morning lows very close to the average for late February (GJ 27° and MT 23° normal), but the cold front has passed through the region and a colder afternoon is to be expected under a partly cloudy day. Wind out of the north Saturday will keep an already cold day feeling colder with the wind chill dipping into the frigid/blustery category. Dress in layers and mind exposed skin for wind burn.

The mountains will still be getting more snow throughout the day Saturday, but the bulk of the storm intensity will have already passed the Divide by lunch. Saturday night begins the clearing period and low temperatures Sunday morning will be in the teens. Sunday will present as a clear and dry day with cold temperatures, but light wind speeds.

Warmer temperatures are anticipated through the end of next week with upper 50s and lower 60s possible for many locations.
