A short wave will pass through the Western Slope to start the weekend. With this short wave we can expect to see overcast skies to start our day and we will see some scattered snow showers in the higher valleys. Snow totals will be light as most of these showers will be to our north. Skies will clear up for most of the region as we head into the afternoon hours and high temperatures will stay seasonably warm in the 40s. Scattered snow showers by Aspen, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs will clear up by the evening hours. The upper level ridge that caused us to see a warming trend will leave the Western Slope this weekend. A cold front will pass through the region and develop into a cutt off low on Tuesday bringing cooler temperatures and more snow chances.
